The program’s economic support is reloaded on the cards starting November 1
Beginning November 1, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits begin to be distributed in several U.S. states to ensure access to nutritious meals for millions of people. These payments are deposited on Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards, which are accepted at a wide network of stores across the country.
The timing of payments varies by state, beginning in Alaska, North Dakota, Rhode Island and Vermont, all of which make their deposits on November 1. Other states have staggered distribution dates that may extend through the end of the month.
Below is the complete payment distribution schedule for participating states:
- Distribution from November 1 to 15:
- Nov. 1: Alaska, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Virgin Islands and Vermont.
- November 1-3: Connecticut.
- November 1 to 4: Wyoming.
- November 1-5: Nebraska and New Jersey.
- November 1 to 7: Virginia.
- November 1 to 9: New York, Oregon and West Virginia.
- November 1 to 10: California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Guam, Idaho, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nevada, Oklahoma and South Carolina.
- November 1 to 13: Arizona.
- November 1 to 14: Massachusetts.
- November 1 to 15: Wisconsin.
- Extended distribution (beyond November 15):
- Nov. 1 to 19: Kentucky.
- Nov. 1 to 20: New Mexico, Tennessee, Ohio.
- November 1 to 22: Missouri.
- November 1 to 23: Louisiana.
- November 1 to 28: Florida and Texas.
- Other states distributing from the first week of November:
- Nov. 2-23: Delaware.
- November 2 to 6: Montana.
- November 3 to 21: North Carolina and Michigan.
- November 3 to 14: Pennsylvania.
- November 3 to 5: Hawaii.
- November 4 to 23: Maryland and Alabama.
