New Food Assistance Amounts Starting August 1: Vouchers up to $581

These new benefit amounts vary by state and local inflation

Beginning August 1, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients in the United States will see their food stamp amounts updated, with amounts ranging from $291 to $581, depending on where they live. Most states and territories have already issued July payments, with Florida and Texas extending through July 28.

The updated amounts are due to changes in inflation and the cost of living in different regions. In particular, Alaska and Hawaii tend to have higher inflation rates, which is reflected in higher SNAP benefits.
